This in itself will help you recognise feelings and circumstances that you yourself have been through. There are many out there who would seem to have it all. The truth is that they maybe did once have it all through hard work but life circumstances and the recession have affected them too and they find themselves in large houses they cannot get rid off or afford to heat. The type of roof over their head or the area they stay in should be no indicator of how genuine a wish is or not. It may also be the case that you feel that wishing for something you deem to be frivolous may be just the thing that really makes a difference to someone else. For the first time in their life they have a new and decent item of clothing for themselves or their children. We are here to put smiles on faces and hope into peoples lives again no matter how big or small the wish. To restore a wisher's faith in humanity again. AMOUNTS OF MONEYYou may only have a pound, dollar or euro to spare but this added with many other pounds, dollars or euros will make all the difference. If you feel you want to give to many people then you can split your overall gift into several smaller gifts. Please also read our terms and conditions for any bank fees that will be taken off your contribution. This is small but nonetheless needs to be paid. ASKING QUESTIONSIf you feel there are a number of things unanswered then please just click on 'Ask A Question' button and you will be taken to your profile page where you can compose a question to the wisher within more private circumstances, only seen between you and them. Please bear in mind that if anyone is abusive in any way that the wisher can at any point block you. Please also remember that in most situations it is difficult to go on a worldwide webpage and ask for help. Please be sympathetic in the way you ask a question and try not use threatening language or typescript such as all capitals. This is however a good way of finding out a little bit more about a persons situation. SUPPORTERSOnce again the amount of comments and the amount of support of a person is no indicator of how genuine a wish is. Use your own common sense and let your intuition guide you. Photographs of a person may or may not be there depending on the level of anonymity that people want. If you feel this is deterring you from giving to someone, it might be good to tell them this as many may feel the same and the wisher will have no way of knowing this until people tell them. PREVIOUS WISHESIt is also good to look at any previous wishes granted as in most cases we will encourage people to post some photographs of their previously granted wish. This will show that in that particular case, the item wished for was the item given and received and used. ILLNESSIn the case of serious or terminal illness, we would request that you respect the families concerned and be safe in the knowledge that Wishes and Angels Ltd. will oversee the giving of the funds to exactly the people and/or service that requires to be funded. This should negate the need to ask any further intrusive questions. We have a 'hug' facility and a 'comment' section for you to leave messages of support and encouragement. You may also use the internal email system to leave longer sympathetic messages. NO CASHWe thought long and hard about how to help people, those who have noone else to turn to. Those who are outwith the larger charity remit. We could have given the money directly to the wisher, but, our feeling was that much fewer people would give to them as we cannot ensure that the cash would be used for the reason specified on the site. It is possible but unlikely that people in need of urgent cash for whatever reason, would not use our system. Firstly there is no actual cash handed to anyone (except in cases laid out in terms and conditions where verification is given). Wisher's funds are kept and when their total is reached over a period of time, (this can be a long or short time) their item is purchased by us and delivered by the company the item was bought from. Any service requested such as in healthcare/holidays etc. is paid directly to the company concerned.
