Help to purchase a Rugby Wheelchair

Hi, my name is Donald, I am 37 years old.14 years ago I had an accident which left me with a spinal injury, resulting in complete paralysis from the chest down with limited arm and hand function. With my level of injury there are very few sports and activities that i can partake in.

Just over a year ago I started playing wheelchair rugby with the Scottish Wildcats based in Falkirk, which I love. Playing wheelchair rugby has improved my strength and fitness, I also had a persistant sore on my ankle, pretty much since my accident, which finally healed up in the last year. I can't be 100% sure that playing rugby helped with the sore but I like to think that that the added exercise increased my blood circulation and thus aided the healing process.

The chair I use with the club, while I'm grateful for its use, is an old, heavy, offensive chair which is too small and unsuitable for a player with a higher level injury like mine. Being as it is too small I find it very uncomfortable and I'm concerned it might have a detrimental effect on my already poor posture. Ralistically if I wish to continue with the sport I'll need to purchase my own made to measure defensive chair, I have some savings that I can use but I'm falling short of the cost of a chair.
